Moravian vs. Susquehanna; Play 4Kay Still on Schedule for Saturday, February 9th

Basketball games postponed

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference doubleheader on Saturday, February 9th as scheduled in Johnston Hall.

While the full effects from winter storm "Nemo" won't be felt until the evening and overnight hours, the Greyhounds' final home doubleheader of the regular season is going as scheduled at this time.

The day begins at 12:00 p.m. with the women's basketball team hosting its annual alumni game at 12:00 p.m.  The Greyhounds will follow up with Senior Day and then their annual Play 4Kay game in which Moravian will don pink uniforms for the sixth straight year as they raise funds to donate to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Moravian has led NCAA Division III in donations to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in each of the last three seasons including over $12,000 last year, a number the Greyhounds are trying to surpass this winter. The Moravian women are 19-3 on the year, 10-1 in Landmark Conference action, and the Greyhounds have already clinched their 12th consecutive postseason appearance.

The Moravian men will finish off the afternoon against the Crusaders as they host their Senior Day at 4:00 p.m. before tip-off. The Greyhounds and the Crusaders are currently tied for the fourth and final spot in the 2013 Landmark Conference Tournament, and Moravian is 13-9 overall and 5-6 in conference action.
