Moravian Takes Third at Ursinus College Invitational

ELVERSON, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team finished third of nine teams at the Ursinus College Invitational Tuesday played at the Stonewall North Golf Club as the Greyhounds shot a season-low 311.

The Hounds finished two strokes behind runner-up Dickinson College while Penn State Berks won the tournament with a 301.

Moravian senior Joe Rochelle was one of four golfers to shoot a four-over round of 74, and he finished fourth on back nine scores with a 41 over the final nine holes. Rochelle carded one eagle, four birdies and six pars in the second lowest round of his career. Senior Kody Long was one stroke back of Rochelle and tied for fifth with a 75, tied for the third best round of his career, and Long carded 13 pars in his round. Junior Nick Kuhn finished in a tie for 12th with a 79 which included three birdies and eight pars while sophomore Thomas Lakata was tied for 27th with an 83 that included 10 pars. Freshman Will Breslin finished in a tie for 38th of the 47 golfers with a career-best 88 which included a birdie and eight pars.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action when they host the annual Moravian College Spring Invitational on Thursday, April 11 at Southmoore Golf Course in Bath, Pennsylvania with tee-off set for 12:30 p.m.
