Joe Rochelle honored as Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Joe Rochelle has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Rochelle averaged 78.0 over three rounds as he helped the Greyhounds to a trio of third place team finishes. Rochelle was one of four golfers to shoot a four-over round of 74 at the Ursinus College Invitational at Stonewall North, and he finished fourth on back nine scores with a 41 over the final nine holes. Rochelle carded one eagle, four birdies and six pars in the second lowest round of his career. He was then tied for 27th with an 81, which included 11 pars, at the Moravian Spring Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course. Rochelle finished the week tied for sixth of 32 golfers with a 79 in the first round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational that was shortened to just the one round after Sunday night's weather made the course unplayable on Monday.

"Joe has been working hard this spring, so it was nice to see him have a good week with some consistent play," said Head Coach Kevin Edwards.

The Hounds will not return to action until Saturday, May 4 when the squad competes in the opening round of the 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament being hosted by Eliazbethtown College at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Club.
