HARRISBURG, Pa. --- Moravian College junior Nick Kuhn shot an even par opening round to sit in a tie for first place individually, and the Greyhounds are one stroke behind Goucher College after the opening round of the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg.

The Hounds had a four-man score of 307, trailing only the Gophers' 306 and 11 strokes ahead of The Catholic University of America, in the first 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament that was supposed to be on Saturday and Sunday but was moved up a day to make Friday's practice round the actual opening around to avoid the rain slated to be around all day on Sunday.

Kuhn is tied with Julian Gonzalez of Goucher as both players shot opening round scores of 72 to sit at even par, three strokes ahead of the next golfers. Moravian sophomore Thomas Lakata is in fifth place of the 39 golfers after an opening round score of 76 while sophomore Victor Tavares is tied for 11th with a first round of 79. Senior Joe Rochelle carded an 80 in the opening day to sit in a tie for 14th while senior Kody Long is tied for 25th with an 83 in the first round.

The Greyhounds will be in the second set of pairings on Saturday, May 4 and will head out onto the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course beginning at 11:22 a.m.
