BETHLEHEM, Pa. The Moravian University men's lacrosse team has named senior Trevor Dzama and juniors Jason Levy, Aden Moskovitz, and Steven Salica as its captains for the 2023-24 season. 

Dzama has played 35 matches during his career and started 28 of those matches. He has contributed 47 goals, 88 assists, and 43 ground balls. Dzama was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III Team of the Week in the first week of the 2023 season. 

"Trevor is a quiet leader for us. He has incredible vision and sees the field very well. He organizes us offensively," stated Head Coach Dave Carty, who is entering his 9th season leading the Greyhounds. 

Levy has played 27 matches during his career and started 26 of those matches. He has contributed one goal, one assist, 55 ground balls, and 24 caused turnovers. 

"Jason is an athletic and consistent defender. He's the defender that keeps it all together when we hit a tough spot. He's a great leader and we will be looking for him to lead the defenders," quoted Carty. 

Moskovitz has played 27 matches during his career and started five of those matches. He has contributed six goals, six assists, 38 ground balls, and 18 caused turnovers. 

"Aiden is really the heart of our team, he plays a very selfless position at SSDM and does it incredibly well. He has a talent for bringing the guys together," commented Carty. 

Salica has played 22 matches during his career and started 1 of those matches. He has contributed 21 goals, two assists, 11 ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Salica was named to the 2023 CSC Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team.

"Steve is a hard working midfielder that does it all on and off the field. He's great at setting a standard and holding our guys accountable," stated by Carty. 

The men's lacrosse team is scheduled to to start the 2023-24 schedule on Wednesday, February 21st, with a non-conference game against Lebanon Valley College on John Makuvek Field.
