Algor Named Men's Soccer Captain for 2013

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Jeff Algor has been named the captain of the 2013 Moravian College men's soccer squad.

The Greyhounds open their season on Friday, Augusts 30th in a non-conference game at Baptist Bible College at 4:00 p.m., and Moravian's first home match of the season is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st when the squad hosts Lancaster Bible College at 1:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad.

Algor has started 47 of his career 53 matches played while seeing action as a forward, midfielder and defender. Algor was named to the 2012 Landmark All-Conference Second Team, and he has netted nine goals and added one assist in his career.

"Jeff will captain the Moravian Men's soccer team for the third straight year this season,' stated fifth-year Head Coach Todd Ervin. "His outstanding leadership has helped an extraordinarily young team come together and be able to be an effective group on the field. I am thrilled to have a captain with Jeff's experience, and I am confident that he will be able to lead us to a successful campaign this year. A vocal captain as well as someone who leads by example, Jeff is able to continually get the best out of his teammates."
