Black Honored as Landmark Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior defender Eileen Black (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville HS) of the Moravian College women's soccer team has been named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Black had a goal to lead the Greyhounds in a 1-1 week that including the 2012 Landmark Conference season opener for Moravian.  Black netted her third goal of the season with just 2:46 left in the second overtime to give the Greyhounds a 1-0 victory over The Catholic University of America to start the Landmark campaign.  The goal was her second game-winning goal and the 13th goal of her career.  Black then had a pass that eventually led to Moravian's only goal in a 2-1, double-overtime loss to Elizabethtown College last Thursday.  On the season, Black has a total of eight points on three goals and two assists in nine matches.

The Greyhounds, who are 5-4 overall and 1-0 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the pitch on Wednesday, September 26th when they host Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) College on the HUB Quad beginning at 4:15 p.m.
