"The opportunity to play in the Palestra is an incredible honor for everyone in our program," exclaimed Catholic University head women's basketball coach, Matt Donohue. "Considering Catholic University's strong connection and deep ties to the greater Philadelphia area, this will be a tremendous experience for a number of our players, their families, and some of our most loyal supporters. We are absolutely thrilled to participate and incredibly grateful to the Landmark Conference for making this possible. Playing in a venue that is largely regarded as the cathedral of college basketball will undoubtedly make for an experience of a lifetime that we will all cherish."

Known as the "Cathedral of College Basketball," The Palestra opened its doors in 1927, making it the oldest major college arena still in use today. It has hosted more games, more visiting teams, and more NCAA tournaments than any other facility of its kind. It is currently home to the Philadelphia Big 5 Championship.

The participating programs will have the opportunity to play in a memorable location that has seen great players like Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and Oscar Robertson, all of whom played as a member of visiting teams.

The University of Scranton men's basketball coach, Carl Danzig, echoed the excitement level from his program, saying, "The night will be particularly special as our team gets to play at a venue that has such a rich basketball tradition. It will be a great memory for my guys and staff."
