TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected to the 2024 Landmark All-Conference First Team for this performance this winter.
Ratcliff, who was also honored on the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization 2023-24 Team of the Year, averaged 20.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest this winter, and he also contributed a school record 60 blocked shots, 25 assists, 19 steals and 22 three-pointers. Ratcliff, who was the 2023 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and on the All-Conference Second Team a year ago, had 13 double-doubles on the season to give him 21 in his career, and his 515 points make him just the seventh player in school history to score more than 500 points in a single season. In just two years, Ratcliff has 952 points, 457 rebounds, 111 blocked shots, 51 assists and 45 steals.
“We are incredibly proud of Marquis. It is a great honor to be voted as a First Team All Landmark selection,” commented Head Coach Darryl Keckler. “Marquis is one of the best players I have ever coached, and he is an even better person. This honor reflects how the coaches in the league recognize the year Marquis had, and that is a very well-deserved recognition.”
Moravian finished the season with a 9-16 overall record, and the squad was 5-13 in Landmark Conference action.
