BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's basketball team will tip-off its 2023-24 season on Saturday, November 11 when the Hounds host Penn State-Berks in a non-conference game in Johnston Hall starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Greyhounds, under the direction of second-year Head Coach Darryl Keckler, will play four additional contests in the opening month of the season starting with a trip to rival Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, November 15 before hosting Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, November 18. The Blue & Grey host DeSales University in the annual Tuesday before Thanksgiving contest on November 21 in Johnston Hall, and the Hounds complete the month with the 2023-24 Landmark Conference opener on Wednesday, November 29 at Drew University.
Moravian begins the month of December with three consecutive Landmark Conference games including a trip to Susquehanna University on Saturday, December 2 before hosting Goucher College on Wednesday, December 6 and The Catholic University of America on Saturday, December 9. The Hounds will play Keystone College on Saturday, December 16 after finals in Johnston Hall, and the squad then hosts the annual Steel Club Classic on Friday-Saturday, December 29-30 with the Greyhounds facing Hunter (N.Y.) College on the opening day and then either Alvernia University or Penn State-Behrend.
As the calendar turns to 2024, the Greyhounds have their remaining 14 Landmark Conference contests on the slate. Moravian will play five of its nine games in the month of January in Johnston Hall beginning on Wednesday, January 3 versus Juniata College. The Hounds head to Lycoming College on Saturday, January 6 before heading back home to College on Friday, January 12. The Greyhounds will get the opportunity to play at the historic Palestra in Philadelphia when the squad faces the University of Scranton on Sunday, January 14 as the Hounds and Royals play the final contest of four Landmark Conference contests at the Palestra that day.
The Blue & Grey will host Wilkes University for the first time as a conference opponent on Wednesday, January 17, and the squad hosts Susquehanna on Saturday, January 20. Moravian is set to travel to Goucher on Wednesday, January 24 and Catholic on Saturday, January 27. The Hounds finish the month with Drew coming to Johnston Hall on Wednesday, January 31.
February starts with a road trip at Elizabethtown on Saturday, February 3 before home games with Scranton on Wednesday, February 7 and Lycoming on Saturday, February 10 for Senior Day. The Blue & Grey play the final two games of the year on the road with trips to Wilkes on Wednesday, February 14 and Juniata on Saturday, February 17.
The Hounds look to qualify for the 2024 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins on Tuesday, February 20 with the first round game between the fourth and fifth seeds, and the championship game is slated for Saturday, February 24 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
