HAGERSTOWN, Md. --- The Moravian University men's golf team began the 2023-24 season with the opening round of the Catholic University of America Cardinal Classic at the Black Rock Golf Club Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Hounds are seventh of 11 schools are the opening round with a score of 315
- Shepard (W.Va.) University is first with a 281 on Saturday while the host Cardinals fired a 290
Moravian Results
- Junior Jason Koch led the Greyhounds with an opening round of 74 on the par 72 course. He recorded four birdies and nine pars
- Sophomore Robbie McNelly carded a 78 with a birdie and 11 pars
- Freshman Ehren Weyman shot an 81 in the first round of his career with two birdies and five pars
- Junior Sam Bingaman turned in an 82 in his first collegiate round with a birdie and seven pars
- Senior Eric Gilbert rounded the Moravian line-up with an 87 that included a pair of birdies and five pars
