CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's golf team won its eighth consecutive John Makuvek Cup, defeated both DeSales University and Muhlenberg College by 17 strokes Thursday afternoon on the Weyhill Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club.

How It Happened

• The Greyhounds carded a four-man team score of 317 while the Bulldogs and Mules each had team totals of 334
• DeSales won the inaugural event in 2013, and the Mules won the cup in 2014. Since then, the Hounds have captured the title in every year the outing has been played
• The individual medalist went to a playoff hole for the fourth time in 10 tournament, and there was a tie for first after the regulation 18 holes for the fifth time in tournament history

Moravian Results

• Junior Jason Koch tied for the low round of the day among the 16 golfers with a three-over par score of 75 that included a birdie and 14 pars. Koch shot a bogey on the playoff hole to finish second on the day
• Junior TJ Bohl was a stroke back and tied third place with a round of 76. Bohl recorded four birdies and seven pars
• Sophomore Robbie McNelly placed sixth after carding a 79 with a pair of birdies and 10 pars
• Junior Sam Bingaman took eighth with an 87 that included a birdie and six pars
• Freshman Ehren Weyman tied for ninth with a round of 88, and he had eight pars
• Junior Jacob Donmoyer played as an individual for Moravian and carded a 91 with a birdie and five pars
