Moravian Tied for Third after Opening Round of Garden State Classic

WASHINGTON, N.J. --- The Moravian University men's golf squad is tied for third of ten teams after the opening round Saturday of the Garden State Collegiate Classic being hosted by Drew University at the Hawk Pointe Golf Club.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds shot 318 to sit in a tie with Franklin & Marshall College, just one stroke behind Nichols College
  • McDaniel College leads the tournament after an opening round of 312

Moravian Results

  • Junior Jason Koch is tied for fourth of the 53 golfers after an opening round of 77 on the par 72 course that including a birdie and 12 pars
  • Junior TJ Bohl is tied for eighth with a 78 on Saturday as he carded three birdies and six pars
  • Sophomore Robbie McNelly is also tied for eighth after a first round of 78 with 12 pars
  • Junior Sam Bingaman shot an opening round 85 with two birdies and seven pars to tie for 35th
  • Junior Jacob Donmoyer is in tie for 37th with a first round 86 that included two birdies and four pars
