HAGERSTOWN, Md. --- The Moravian University women's golf squad played as individuals in the opening round of the Catholic University of America Cardinal Classic at the Black Rock Golf Club Saturday.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds are playing as individuals with just three competitors this weekend
  • The host Cardinals are in first place with a four women score of 310 in the opening round

Moravian Results

  • Sophomore Heidi Wegscheider shot a career low round of 76 to sit in third place of the 51 golfers as she carded a pair of birdies and 11 pars in her four-over par round
  • Sophomore Ella Oswald is tied for 31st with an opening round of 94 that included five pars
  • Junior Ryan Hausknecht shot 122 in her first round and is 48th in the field
