Greyhounds Compete in Opening Round of Pfeiffer (N.C.) Invitational to Being the Spring Season

OCEAN ISLE, N.C. --- The Moravian University women's golf team began the spring portion of the 2024-25 season with the first round of the Pfeiffer (N.C.) University Spring Invitational at The Big Cats GCS of Ocean Ridge Plantation Monday. 

How It Happened

  • The Hounds participated as individuals in the tournament with three players
  • No. 21 Christopher Newport (Va.) University leads the 12 scoring team with 315 on the first day

Moravian Results

  • Sophomore Heidi Wegscheider is tied for 34th of 71 golfers with an opening round of 90 that included seven pars
  • Sophomore Ella Oswald is tied for 40th after the first round 91 as she carded four pars
  • Freshman Ryan Hausknecht had a 139 in the opening round
