BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University has selected Noah Kandt as Director of Golf effective July 1.
"I am pleased to introduce Noah Kandt as our new Golf Director," noted Director of Athletics Mary Beth Spirk. "With a strong background in player development and a passion for the game, Noah brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our program. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our athletes both on and off the course."
Kandt comes to Moravian after two seasons as the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Crown (Minn.) College. He led the Crown women's team to its highest Upper Midwest Athletic Conference finish in program history in both 2023 and 2024, and Kandt coached four All-UMAC First Team selections in his two seasons.
"The opportunity to grow and develop two strong programs within an already storied athletic department at Moravian is incredibly exciting," stated Kandt. "My main goal is to establish a strong culture where personal growth and development coincide with team success on and off the course."
Kandt served as a Golf Club Assistant at Island View Golf Club in Waconia, Minnesota from 2019-25. He began his time at Crown as a Graduate Assistant Men's Basketball Coach in 2019 before moving to an Assistant Coach in 2021 and Associate Head Coach in 2023.
"Over the last six years I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of college athletes with different skills and from different backgrounds, and personally been involved in their development over their careers," Kandt said. "From someone shooting their personal best to someone developing more confidence in themselves, I understand that everyone learns and processes things differently. I believe that I can take the knowledge from what I have learned over my career and apply it to the student athletes at Moravian."
Kandt earned a Bachelor's in Sports Leadership and Administration in 2018 from Miami (Ohio) University and a Master's in Business Administration from Crown in 2021.
"After growing up in the Lehigh Valley, it has been almost 10 years since I last lived here. My wife (Katie), daughter (Eden), and I are excited to be back in the area and to be a part of the Moravian family," Kandt finished.
