BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore Leah Zolotareva from the Moravian University's women's tennis squad has been named the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.
Zolotareva helped the Greyhounds to a pair of Landmark Conference wins last week as the Hounds remained undefeated in Landmark Conference action this season. Zolotareva teamed with junior Izzy Szmodis for a pair of victories at first doubles, and she won two matches at first singles. Zolotareva and Szmodis won 6-4 in doubles in a 6-1 win at The University of Scranton, and she posted a 6-1, 7-5 singles victory. The duo won 6-1 in doubles action versus Elizabethtown College before a 6-0, 6-0 triumph in singles for Zolotareva.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 5 when the squad hosts Wilkes University in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Hoffman Courts.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
