BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Owen Nahf, senior Nathan Hajel, graduate student Cole Stanchina, junior Bryan Kerchner, and sophomore Gavin Hefferan of the Moravian University's men's cross country team have been named the Moravian Student-Athletes of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for their performance last week.
Nahf won first place in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 25:18.82 out of the 117 runners, earning him Landmark Conference Performer of the Year and All-Conference First Team. Hajel was the runner-up with a time of 25:18.97 while Stanchina was third with a time of 25:19.23. Kerchner took fourth place with 25:19.98 and Hefferan placed fifth with 25:25.22 as all four runners earned spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team.
Moravian had the lowest possible score with just 15 points by taking the top five positions. For the first time in Landmark Conference history, the winning team had the lowest possible score. This is the team's sixth time winning the Landmark Conference Championship with titles in 2011, 2012, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024
The men's cross country team will return to the course on Saturday, November 16th at the NCAA Division III Metro Regional hosted by Stockton (N.J.) University, 12:00 p.m.
