BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Jason Koch of the Moravian University's men's golf team has been named the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Koch averaged 74.0 strokes per round over three rounds during the week, earning medalist honors at the 2024 Landmark Conference Fall Preview to end the fall season. He began the week tying for fifth of the 99 golfers with a 76 at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational at the Lebanon Country Club.
Koch then had the lowest 36-hole score at the Landmark Fall Preview at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort as he shot 146 with an opening round of 75 before a one-under par 71 Sunday to finish first by three strokes. During the 54 holes throughout the week, Koch had seven birdies and 35 pars.
The men's golf team will return to the course on Monday, March 3 in the opening round at the Pfeiffer (N.C.) University Spring Invitational at the Big Cats GCS of Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina to begin the spring portion of the season.
