BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Graduate student wide receiver Jordan Bingham from the Moravian University's football squad has been named the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Bingham caught nine passes for 121 yards and a touchdown in the Greyhounds' 34-23 victory versus Lycoming College on Saturday as the Greyhounds clinched a berth in the 2024 Chesapeake Challenge Bowl Series, the program's first berth in the postseason since 2015. Bingham's touchdown came on a 29-yard reception on a fourth-and-10 play in the second quarter
With his third 100-yard game of the season and seventh of his career, Bingham became the 12th player in program history to 1,500 career receiving yards, now with 1,521 yards on 134 receptions to go with 17 touchdown catches in just 18 games. Bingham set the school record with 69 receptions in 2023, and he has 65 catches in 2024.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to the gridiron on Saturday, November 16th in a Landmark Conference game at Wilkes University with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m. to close out the regular season.
