BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2023-24 athletic campaign. The next entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 7 highlight – the men's cross country squad winning its third consecutive Landmark Conference Championship.
The Greyhounds won their third title and fifth overall Landmark Conference crown on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Sunset Golf Club in Huntingdon. Moravian has captured a total of 11 men's cross country conference championships since 1993.
The Hounds scored 37 points in the meet to finish 11 points ahead of runner-up Elizabethtown College. Junior Nathan Hajel won the 8,000-meter race in 26:08.02 as he was named the Landmark Conference Performer of the Year. Hajel was joined on the All-Conference First Team by junior Owen Nahf, who was the runner-up in the race while sophomore Bryan Kerchner and senior Josh Mangini made the All-Conference Second Team and freshman Logan Betyeman was on the Honorable Mention squad.
