BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's and women's tennis squads will start the fall portions of their 2024-25 seasons as each team hosts DeSales University in a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday, September 21 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
Director Mariana Freitas enters her fourth season guiding the Greyhounds. She returns nine players on the men's team including Landmark All-Conference Second Team singles and doubles selection junior Shayaan Farhad. Senior Anthony Ronca joined Farhad on the All-Conference Second Team in doubles while senior Wyatt Marshall was an Honorable Mention selection in singles action last year.
The women have five student-athletes back including Landmark All-Conference First Team singles and Second Team doubles selection junior Izzy Szmodis. The squad also returns sophomores Ali Bender and Leah Zolotareva, who combined to make the Landmark All-Conference Honorable Mention list in doubles with Zolotareva also honored on the First Team in singles and Bender making the Second Team in Singles.
