Two Greyhounds and Both Track & Field Programs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Awards

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Moravian University had two student-athletes named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athletes, and both the men's and women's track & field squads were honored as an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA for the 2024 season.

Moravian's individual selections were sophomores Tara Smurla and Ali Haefele. To earn All-Academic individual honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have competed in the 2023 NCAA Outdoor National Championships or have finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

The women's team maintained a 3.69 cumulative GPA after the year, while the men's team maintained a 3.24 cumulative GPA. To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater.
