Lovett Named Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior Catie Lovett from Moravian University's women's swimming squad has been selected as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.

Lovett set three school records as the Greyhounds finished third in the Drew University Ranger Invitational last weekend. On Friday, Lovett finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.66 seconds, and Lovett swam an exhibition time of 2:07.85 in the 200-yard freestyle. Lovett also helped the Hounds place third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:04.63 with her leadoff time of 29.88 seconds in the backstroke setting the school record. On Saturday, Lovett set two more school records in the meet, breaking the 100-yard backstroke mark with a fourth-place finish in a time of 1:04.17 and the 200-yard backstroke record with a runner-up finish in 2:20.33. She also helped the 400-freestyle relay squad to a time of 4:21.82 to finish third.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return on Saturday, January 11 when the squad heads to Susquehanna University for a Landmark Conference tri-match with Goucher College.

The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
