BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior guard Porter Kelly of Moravian University's men's basketball team has been selected as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Kelly helped Moravian extend its winning streak to seven with two Landmark Conference wins last week. Kelly averaged 18.5 points per game while shooting 12-for-20 from the field, 5-for-9 on three-pointers and 8-for-13 at the foul line to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 59 minutes of action. Kelly tossed in a game-high 22 points that included 4-for-4 on three-pointers to go with two rebounds and two assists in a 71-56 victory over The University of Scranton. He then had 15 points and two rebounds in an 84-81 win at Elizabethtown College including the final two free throws of the game to seal the victory.
The Greyhounds are slated to return to the hardwood on Wednesday, January 22 when the Blue & Grey travel to Wilkes University for a Landmark Conference contest tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
