BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior quarterback Jared Jenkins from Moravian University's football squad has been honored as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Jenkins threw for a career-high 375 yards and four touchdowns in the Greyhounds' 55-14 win at Keystone College to begin the Landmark Conference action. Jenkins completed 17-of-26 passes to average 22.1 yards per completion, and he also ran for 39 yards on eight carries. Jenkins' scoring passes covered 12, 30, 64 and 66 yards. The four TD passes raise Jenkins' career total to 40 as he became just the fourth quarterback in program history to reach the milestone.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 12 when the squad hosts The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference game kicking off at 12:00 p.m. on Rocco Calvo Field as Moravian returns home for the first time in four weeks.
