Women's Volleyball Squad Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released a more than total of 1,400 college, including Moravian University, and high school volleyball teams that received the 2023-24 AVCA Team Academic Award in the 32nd year of the award.

The award, which began in 1992-93, honors college and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average during the 2023-24 school year.

Moravian, under the direction of 31-year head coach Shelley Bauder, earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 14th time since the award was started. The Greyhounds and fellow Landmark Conference schools Drew University, Elizabethtown College, Juniata College, University of Scranton, and Susquehanna University. received the honor for 2023-24.

Coach Bauder and the Greyhounds open their 2024 season on Friday, August 30 when the squad hosts Lancaster Bible College in Johnston Hall as part of the 21th Greyhound Premiere Invitational.
