BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University Director of Golf Meredith Mutcher has announced she will be stepping down from her position leading the Greyhounds at the end of the 2024-25 season.
"We are grateful for all that Meredith has done with our golf programs these past two years," commented Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk. "Meredith established our first ever women's program while also continuing the rich tradition of our successful men's program. Meredith also helped to enhance both golf programs with the establishment of the indoor hitting facility in Johnston Hall. We wish Meredith success as she enters this new and exciting phase of her career."
Mutcher joined the Hounds as the inaugural Women's Head Coach in August of 2022 before being elevated to Director of Men's & Women's Golf in July 2023. In her debut season last year, Mutcher guided Moravian to a fifth-place finish in the 2024 Landmark Conference Men's Championship with one All-Conference selection while the women's squad had an All-Conference honoree in the program's first season as a varsity sport. The Greyhounds will be competing in the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort this weekend, April 26-27.
Mutcher came to Moravian after serving as a high school coach and teaching professional in Texas. She will be returning to Texas after the season to complete her master's in clinical mental health counseling.
Moravian's national search for its next Director of Golf will begin shortly.
