Six Greyhounds Honored on College Sports Communicators Women’s At-Large Academic All-District

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University seniors Sydney Anderson, Alex Cherenson, Lexi Dinsmore, Madi Dippel, Jackie Salvatore and Savannah Sutter have been honored on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team for NCAA Division III schools.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student and be a starter or significant reserve that has played in 90 percent of the team's game or started 66 percent of the team's contests this year. Sports eligible for the women's at-large program are beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.

By making the All-District Team, the group is now forwarded onto the national ballot to try for CSC Academic All-America® accolades, which will be announced Tuesday, July 8. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.

Anderson, a nursing major with a 3.66 grade-point average, netted four goals to go with two assists while starting all 19 matches as a midfielder for the field hockey team in 2024. She was named to the 2024 Landmark All-Conference Second Team after switching positions this past season. Anderson earned a spot on the 2022 NFHCA All-Region V Second Team after making the Landmark All-Conference First Team as both a sophomore and freshman. Anderson started all 72 matches in her career and contributed 36 goals including nine game-winning goals to go with 11 assists and a pair of defensive saves. Anderson has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List seven times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, a four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Cherenson, a public health major with a 3.98 grade-point average, was fourth on the women's lacrosse team with 46 points this spring on 36 goals and 10 assists to go along with 45 draw controls, 28 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers as she made the Landmark All-Conference Honorable Mention squad as a midfielder. Cherenson, who made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2023 and 2024, contributed 157 goals, 28 assists, 146 draw controls, 110 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers in 69 career matches for the Hounds with 60 starts. Cherenson has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List eight times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Dinsmore, a member of the field hockey squad, finished her degree in health science/pre-physical therapy this spring with a 3.65 grade-point average. Dinsmore saw action in 33 matches in her career including all 19 this past fall as a defender, and she started 21 contests in her career to go with four goals including one game-winning goal and three assists. Dinsmore was a three-time selection to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad. Dinsmore was a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List seven times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll. She was also part of the Tri-Alpha honor society and Pre-Health Club at Moravian.

Dippel, an environmental science major with a 3.69 grade-point average, finished the season third on the women's lacrosse squad with 53 points on 41 goals and 12 assists to with 56 draw controls, 38 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers to garner a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team as a midfielder for the second straight spring. Dippel recorded 149 goals, 31 assists, 188 draw controls, 133 ground balls and 75 caused turnovers in 71 career contests for the Greyhounds including 56 starts. Dippel has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List five times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Salvatore, a public health major with a 3.92 grade-point average, was selected as the 2025 Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year and earned spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team, Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Metro Region Second Team and the USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-America as an attack after setting a school record with 120 points on 44 goals and a program record 76 assists this spring to go along with 83 draw controls, 32 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Salvatore, who was also the 2024 Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year and earned spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team and IWLCA All-Metro Region First Team, made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in both 2022 and 2023 and was honored as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year in 2022. Salvatore posted 379 points on 178 goals and 201 assists in four seasons to go with 210 draw controls, 124 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers while starting all 72 matches in her career. Salvatore has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List eight times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Sutter, a psychology major with a 3.87 grade-point average, started 18 matches this past fall as a midfielder for the field hockey team. Sutter played in 71 career matches with 38 starts, and she had two assists and three defensive saves in her career. Sutter has been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List eight times, Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, a four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad and a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
