BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing to look back at its 2023-24 athletic campaign. Before announcing the top event in the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year, here is a look at the six contests that received votes from the Moravian athletic administrators but missed out on making the Top 10.
Baseball Rallies from 9-0 Deficit to Beat FDU-Florham
The Blue and Grey fell behind FDU-Florham, 9-0, in the first inning of the second game of a non-conference doubleheader played at Maplezone Sports Institute on February 21, 2024 before rallying for the victory. The Hounds scored once in the fourth inning and five times in the fifth frame to cut the deficit to 9-6. Moravian plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the contest at 9-9 on a two-RBI double from graduate student shortstop Jack Tone to force extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth, sophomore first baseman Sean Superka hit an RBI fielder's choice to score freshman center fielder Jared Ferguson with the winning run.

Women's Soccer Scores Three Second Half Goals to Defeat Elizabethtown
The Greyhounds fell behind visiting Elizabethtown College, 2-0, on John Makuvek Field on October 17, 2023. Moravian rallied with three goals in the second half with junior forward Carly Pyatt putting the Blue & Grey onto the scoreboard just two and a half minutes into the second half. Junior midfielder Sydney DeFranco knotted the score at 2-2 in the 75th minute when she scored on a penalty kick, and senior forward Lindsay Mullin put a loose ball into the net five minutes later to give the Hounds the victory.

Men's Tennis Rallies Past Juniata in Breidegam Fieldhouse
The Hounds came back from a 4-2 deficit to defeat Juniata College, 5-4, on March 23, 2024 in a contest played in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse due to the weather as Moravian extended its winning streak at the time to ten straight matches. The Greyhounds earned one point in doubles action from the tandem of junior Anthony Ronca and sophomore Shayaan Farhad, and Farhad also won in singles action with the Hounds still trailing 3-2 at that point. Down 4-2, Moravian captured the final three singles matches with victories from freshman Gavin Labaddia at fifth singles, sophomore Ryan Burke at sixth singles and junior Ronny Pimentel Ferrer at fourth singles to earn the win.

Softball Scores Three in Top of the 7th at LVC in Battle of Nationally-Ranked Teams
The No. 16 Blue & Grey trailed host and No. 20 Lebanon Valley College, 2-1, heading to the top of the seventh inning in the opening game of a doubleheader on March 19, 2024. Freshman center fielder Shayla Morgan and senior pitcher Madi Cunningham drew walks to start the seventh, and Morgan raced home with the tying run on an error on ball hit by junior left fielder Jessica Forder. Freshman pinch runner Leah Chladny put the Hounds back ahead on an RBI double by junior shortstop Holly Walter while Walter added an insurance run as she scored on another error by the Flying Dutchmen on the way to the 4-2 victory.

Field Hockey Tops Misericordia in Double Overtime
The Greyhounds earned their first win of the season on September 12, 2023 as the squad defeated host Misericordia University, 2-1 in double overtime. Moravian netted the first goal of the match just 45 seconds before halftime as sophomore forward Gia Ambrosino scored. The Cougars forced overtime as the found the net on a penalty corner after the final horn for regulation had sounded. Neither squad hit the cage in the first overtime while senior forward Hanna Leto netted the game-winning goal 2:13 into the second overtime.

Men's Lacrosse Scores Late Win at Immaculata
The Blue and Grey earned a 10-9 non-conference win at Immaculata University on March 9, 2024 with the winning goal coming with just 1:41 to play. The match would go back-and-forth throughout. The largest lead belonged to the Mighty Macs, who led 6-2 in the second quarter before Moravian scored four times in the final two and a half minutes of the half to knot the match at 6-6 at halftime. The Greyhounds had a two-goal lead midway through the fourth quarter after sophomore attack Vincent Devito scored. However, Immaculata tied the match with just over three minutes to play. Senior attack Trevor Dzama netted the winning goal with 1:41 on the clock to give Moravian its second win of the season.
