BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Graduate student designated hitter Cole Cherkas of the Moravian University's baseball squad has been honored as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for his performance last week.
Cherkas was 3-for-8 with two runs, four RBIs, two doubles and a homer in a 2-2 week for the Greyhounds. He was 1-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run in a 10-8 win over Saint Elizabeth (N.J.) University, and Cherkas was 2-for-4 with a run, a double, a homer and two RBIs in a 6-5 victory versus The Catholic University of America to begin a Landmark Conference series.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 18 in a Landmark Conference game at Drew University beginning at 3:00 p.m.
