TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2025 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll selections today honoring 1,645 individuals including 172 student-athletes from Moravian University. The Honor Roll recognizes all winter and spring student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
In a change to the Landmark Conference awards structure that began in 2020-21, the spring semester academic honor roll now includes all spring sports as well as men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's indoor track & field, wrestling and men's volleyball.
Moravian had student-athletes from 15 of its winter and spring teams that compete in the conference with the women's track & field program leading the way with 50 honorees including 25 both indoors and outdoors. The men's track & field team had 35 total honorees with 18 indoors and 17 outdoors while the men's lacrosse squad had 18 selections and the softball team had 17 student-athletes selected. The baseball squad saw 13 players honored followed by the women's lacrosse program with 11 honorees and the women's basketball squad with six. The men's basketball and men's tennis teams each had five student-athletes honored followed by the men's golf and women's tennis squads with four, women's swimming with three and women's golf with two student-athletes selected.
The women's track & field team captured both the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Leading the Academic Honor Roll nominees are seniors Bella DeMassa, Caillie Fish, Abby Giamoni, Rachael Goodman, Abby McClaskey, Ally Meeks, Liz Miskovsky, Rylie Murphy, Amber Poniktera, Ashley Rodrigues and Mikayla Woodring, juniors Heather Adams, Ali Haefele, Shai Knight, Caroline Melillo, Makenna Mersch, Meghan Myers, Sarah Rice, Tara Smurla and Kara Vashey and sophomores Rachele Grigoli, Alexis Hockenberry, Alyssa Hockenberry, Kierstyn Klingner and Kayla O'Neil. Everyone on the list competed in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
The men's track & field team finished as the runner-up at the 2025 Landmark Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships and saw graduate students Casey Frank, Josh Mangini and Cole Stanchina, seniors Jake Farrell, Jason Gartner, Geoffrey Kleinberg, Wyatt Poniktera and Prince Sokpo, junior Bryan Kerchner and sophomores Dylan Benbow, Xander DiMatteo, Jordan Gagner, Gavin Hefferan, Anthony Morillo, Adam Plummer, Jackson Royds and Mael Tshiyonga make the list in both seasons while senior Kyle Weiss was honored for the indoor campaign.
The men's lacrosse program posted a 9-7 mark this spring and played in the first round of the Landmark Conference Tournament for a second straight year. Seniors Dan Alicea, Sean Boyer, Austin Hittle, Dan Kelly, Gannon Mesko, Aden Moskovitz, Steven Salica and Kyle Weiss, juniors Adian Brown, Ryan Kokoszka, Nick Mancini, James Panico and Mike Sickler and sophomores Jay Ashford, Liam Kelly, Hunter Klapmuts, Finnegan McGovern and Peter Zaninelli made the Academic Honor Roll.
The softball squad won the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament and NCAA Division III Bethlehem (Pa.) Regional and hosted an NCAA Division III Super Regional to complete the season with a 40-9 record. Graduate student Ajala Elmore, seniors Jessica Forder, Lindsey Gawrys, Jenna Lenko and Sage Snyder, juniors Madison Berning, Sarah DeStefano, Kayla Krausse, Natalie Otto, Kendall Szor and Emma Wariwanchik and sophomores Leah Chladny, Madelin Cooper, Cassandra Farrell, Kyra Holtje, Shayla Morgan, and Emma Grace Pachkowski all earned spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
Moravian's baseball program finished the year at 13-27 in 2025. Graduate students David Olsakowski, Justin Otero, Joey Richmond and Connor Wengryn, senior Chris Medei, juniors Ross Huffman, Matt Snyder and Sean Superka and sophomores Andrew Benvenuto, Jack Dicesare, Nate McBride, Dominic Venini and Caden Ward all received Academic Honor Roll accolades.
The women's lacrosse squad finished the season with a 10-8 record and the program's seventh straight Landmark Conference Tournament appearance. Graduate student Keara Reilly, seniors Alex Cherenson, Madi Dippel, Jackie Salvatore and Isabella Ziccardi, juniors Kayla Graef, Gianna Lotito and Victoria Salica and sophomores Melissa Elefonte, Bailey Leatherman and Maia Machado were named to the Academic Honor Roll.
The women's basketball team was 6-19 this past winter. Seniors Mikayla Anderson and Brielle Guarente and sophomores Emma Altmire, Elaine Herbert, Lizzie Lustig and Grace Steffen garnered spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
The men's basketball squad, which was 16-10 this year and played in the Landmark Conference Tournament First Round, had graduate student Alex Dietz, senior Michael Leonardo, junior Liam Cummiskey and sophomores Riley Flood and Taylor Perlmutter selected to the Academic Honor Roll.
The men's tennis team squad, which posted a 13-8 record and reached the Landmark Conference Semifinals for a third consecutive year, saw seniors Zachary Lebby and Wyatt Marshall, juniors Shayaan Farhad and Matt Labosky and sophomore Gavin Labbadia earn Academic Honor Roll accolades.
The women's tennis team posted a 17-4 record this year while finishing as the runner-up in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Junior Izzy Szmodis and sophomores Ali Bender, Sydney Shifman and Leah Zolotareva each received a nod on the Academic Honor Roll.
The men's golf squad finished third at the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships and had seniors Jason Koch and Tommy Zanghi, junior Robbie McNelly and sophomore Avery Kozer named to the Academic Honor Roll.
The women's swimming team had seniors Ashlee Limbacher and Catie Lovett and sophomore Julia Zaprazny honored on the Academic Honor Roll in the program's third season.
For the first time in program history, the women's golf team had a pair of Academic Honor Roll selections after its second season with Szmodis also golfing while playing tennis and sophomore Ella Oswald.
