Schaffer Earns Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Senior pole vaulter Abigail Schaffer of the Moravian College women's track & field team earned Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of January 23rd.

Schaffer won the pole vault for the Greyhounds at the Mountain Hawk Multi & Invitational this past weekend. She cleared 3.90 meters (12 feet, 9 ½ inches) to win the event, a height that ranks second in NCAA Division III so far this season and qualifies her for the ECAC Championships. She placed first in the field of 19 competitors at the meet.

Moravian track & field gets back in action on Saturday, January 28th when they travel to Newark, Delaware for the Thomson Invitational at The University of Delaware.
