BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Freshman Claire DelCasale won the 10,000-meter run to lead the Moravian College women's outdoor track & field team on the first day of the Coach P Open at Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field Friday.
DelCasale turned in a time of 41:35.37 to lead four Moravian runners in the 10K. Sophomore Emma Pacheco finished second in 42:11.67 while senior Megan Hallowell placed third in 42:17.23. Freshman Jessie Goldberg took fifth in a time of 44:11.93.
In the field events, freshman Jenny Kratch took ninth in the shot put with a toss of 10.35 meters (33 feet, 11 1/2 inches), and she was 12th in the hammer throw with a distance of 37.74 meters (123 feet, ten inches).
