Greyhound Women 3rd at Juniata Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's cross country team finished third at the Juniata College Invitational Saturday on the course at the Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Altoona Saturday.

The Greyhounds scored 70 points to finish third of seven teams with the host Eagles winning with 55 points and The Catholic University of America in second with 64 points on the course that will be used for the 2012 Landmark Conference Championship race on October 27th.  

Sophomore Claire Del Casale led Moravian with an eighth place finish of 60 runners in a time of 25:02.90 on the 6,000-meter course.  Sophomore Emily Lambright was tenth overall in 25:12.00 while sophomore Jessie Goldberg was 15th in a time of 25:43.60.  Rounding out the Greyhounds' line-up were junior Jennifer Smilgis in 21st with a time of 26:25.90, junior Jennifer Parodi in 23rd at 26:36.20 and senior Emma Pacheco in 24th in 26:40.70.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, September 28th at the 39th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
