Pow Named Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University graduate student second baseman/designated hitter Chris Pow has been named the Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Pow led the Greyhounds at the plate during a 2-2 week in Landmark Conference action as he hit .500 (7-for-14) with three doubles, four runs and five RBIs. He also drew three walks and was hit by a pitch for a .611 on-base percentage to go with a .714 slugging percentage, and Pow also had a pair of putouts and an assist in three chances in the field. He hit safely in all four games including a 2-for-4 performance with a run and a double in a 7-2 loss at Elizabethtown College. Pow was 5-for-10 with three runs, two doubles, five RBIs and three walks versus Lycoming College as Moravian captured the series, 2-1.

"Chris had a great week at the plate leading the offense," commented Head Coach Douglas Coe. "He made a couple adjustments that put him in this position, and we are proud of the work that he is doing at the plate."

The Hounds, who are 9-12 on the season and 3-5 in Landmark Conference play, are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 6 when the squad travels to Susquehanna University for a Landmark Conference doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m.
