TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's basketball team has been selected to defend its Landmark Conference title in the 2018-19 Preseason Poll determined by the conference coaches.

The Greyhounds, who were 20-8 last season while winning their first Landmark Conference championship, were a unanimous selection with 70 points and seven first-place votes, and Moravian finished 21 points ahead of Drew University.

"It is obviously a great honor for the program, and it shows that the guys that came before this team have done a lot of work to put us in that position," stated Head Coach Justin Potts, who is beginning his fourth season at his alma mater. "Preseason polls are just preseason polls. I don't put a lot of stock in them but it is nice to have that honor. Now the most important thing is going out and putting the work in on the court and see where things end up by the time we get to February."

Moravian began its 2018-19 season on Thursday, November 8 with an 81-75 loss to No. 15 Johns Hopkins University in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action Tuesday, November 13 in a non-conference contest at William Paterson (N.J.) University beginning at 8:00 p.m.
