Greyhounds Receive Votes in Final 2018-19 D3hoops.com Men's Top 25 Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- The Moravian College men's basketball team has received votes in the final D3hoops.com Top 25 poll for the 2018-19 season.

The Greyhounds, who received two points in the poll, finished the year with a 20-9 record, the second straight 20-win season in program history, and the Hounds captured their second consecutive Landmark Conference Championship. Moravian, under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Justin Potts '00, earned the program's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament win with an 86-65 triumph versus Keene State (N.H.) College in the opening round.

The Blue and Grey did play three nationally-ranked teams during the regular season and all three of those teams also received votes in the final poll of the winter. Moravian opened the year with an 81-75 loss to then No. 15 Johns Hopkins University, and the Blue Jays also received two points in the final poll with the Hounds. Moravian dropped an 81-72 mark to then No. 2 Williams (Mass.) College, which finished at No. 10, and the Greyhounds season came to a close with an 83-72 setback to then No. 10 Hamilton (N.Y.) College in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and Hamilton finished at No. 15 for the season.
