  • 11 Former Greyhounds Named to MAC 100 Century Teams in Men's & Women's Track & Field

    ANNVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's and women's track & field teams have 11 former student-athletes named to the MAC 100 Century Team. The six women all come from the 1994-2003 era while the five men are split between the 1974-1993 era and the 1994-2012 era.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore Dillon Farrell of the Moravian College men's track & field team has been named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District IV NCAA Division III Women's & Men's Track & Field/Cross Country First Team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

    LA CROSSE, Wis. --- Junior Timothy Lorah of the Moravian College men's track & field team earned All-America honors with an eighth place finish in the javelin on the third and final day of 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship hosted by The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.

    TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has recognized 294 student-athletes including 32 from Moravian College by selecting them for the 2013 Spring Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions.

The Greyhound women's team is ranked slipped one spot to third in the region while the men fell to seventh in the top-ten regional rankings.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2013 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Women's track & field standout Micah Leonard was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete while football and men's track & field performer Travis King was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to women's soccer student-athlete Eileen Black and men's soccer player Nick Hurff. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to John and Mary Ann Williams.

The Greyhound women's team is ranked second in the region for a fourth straight week while the men are ranked fourth in the top-ten regional rankings for the second consecutive week.

Moravian has nominees in baseball, golf, men’s tennis, men’s track & field, softball, women’s tennis and women’s track & field.
