LANCASTER, Pa. --- Moravian University senior defensive back Jackson Buskirk has been honored on the D3football.com Team of the Week Presented by Scoutware for his performance in the Greyhounds' 21-14 win over Dickinson College this past Saturday.
Buskirk, who was also named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, led the Greyhounds' defense with 10 tackles including seven solo stops in the victory on Homecoming. Buskirk, who is now seventh in school history with 167 solo tackles, also had a pass break-up and forced a fumble in the red zone.
"Jackson played a great game on Saturday, and the fumble he forced in the red zone during the fourth quarter helped us change the momentum of the game and earn the victory," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 23 when the squad hosts Ursinus College in a Centennial Conference game kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field on Take a Kid to the Game Day.
