LANCASTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University football squad has had a pair of student-athletes honored on the 2022 Centennial All-Conference Teams with sophomore punter Sam Bingaman named to the First Team and junior running back Nate Boyle picked on the Honorable Mention squad. Senior defensive lineman Javi Espinal-Katz was named to the Centennial Conference Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.

Bingaman led the Centennial Conference with a 40.5 yard per punt average in his first season with the Greyhounds. He punted 47 times for 1,902 yards with 11 punts inside the 20-yard line, 11 fair caught and four touchbacks. At Franklin & Marshall College on November 5, Bingaman recorded punts of 75 and 72 yards with the 75-yard punt setting a new school record. In addition to punting, Bingaman was 6-for-6 on field goal attempts with a career long of 45 yards versus Muhlenberg College on November 12, the third longest field goal in school history, and he was also 18-for-19 on extra points. Bingaman kicked off 16 times, averaging 54.7 yards per kickoff with three touchbacks.

"I can't speak highly enough about Sam's work ethic and attention to detail," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "He is the first one on the field every day working with the attitude of being better than the previous day. This recognition is well deserved."

Boyle garnered his second postseason award after making the Centennial All-Conference Second Team last year. He led the Greyhounds rushing attack this fall with 815 yards and seven touchdowns on 215 attempts to lead the conference in carries, and Boyle also caught 15 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown. Earlier this fall, Boyle became the 26th Greyhound to reach 1,000 career rushing yards, and he heads into his final season ranked 16th in program history with 1,420 yards and 10 touchdowns on 345 rushing attempts to go with 25 receptions for 231 yards and one score.

"Nate is arguably one of the best running backs in the Conference," Pukszyn noted. "Nate's commitment to excellence on the field and in the classroom is phenomenal. He will be a big leader for us heading into the offseason."

Espinal-Katz led the defensive line and was fourth overall on the squad with 43 tackles this fall including 19 solo stops. He added six tackles for loss and a three and a half sacks to go along with a pass break-up, and Epsinal-Katz was honored as Moravian's Sean Keville Most Valuable Player of the game in the rivalry contest with Muhlenberg College after recording 11 tackles with one for loss to end the 2022 season. In his career, Espinal-Katz made 93 tackles in 20 games with 15 tackles for loss, eight sacks and six pass break-ups.

"Javier's work ethic and dedication have been nothing short of great since he stepped on campus," Pukszyn said. "He has always been a player that leads by example and all his work has certainly paid off not only on the field, but in the classroom as well."
