BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's golf squad has selected senior Thomas Lakata as team captain for the 2021 season.

Lakata has played 31 career rounds for the Greyhounds with an average of 82.39 strokes per round, and he is a two-time Landmark All-Conference Second Team honoree, finishing tenth as a freshman in 2018 and in a tie for ninth in 2019. Lakata's career low of 75 came during the fall portion of the 2019-20 season at the Muhlenberg Invitational at the Lehigh Country Club.

"Thomas has been great in his role as captain during this season," commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards, a 1996 Moravian graduate in his 11th season leading the Greyhounds. "He has kept the team engaged even though we haven't been competing yet this year."

The Hounds are slated to begin their 2021 season on Thursday, April 1 when the squad heads to the Elizabethtown College Invitational being played at the Hershey Country Club East course beginning at 12:00 p.m.
