BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is men's golf student-athlete Thomas Lakata '21. Lakata has earned a pair of Landmark All-Conference Second Team honors during his career with top 10 finishes at the conference tournament, and he has a career average of 82.39 strokes per round in 31 rounds as a Greyhound.

How did you choose your sport? My Uncle taught me the game when I was five and I have been playing it ever sense.
Why did you come to Moravian College? The great academics and athletic facilities that people told me about.
What is your major and how did you choose it? I am a Marketing major and I chose it because I think I'm good at it.
What are your future plans? Plan to get my MBA in Supply Chain Management.
What is your favorite place on campus? Garbanzo.
What activities/organizations at Moravian College have you been active in as a student-athlete? I am a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, investment club, and was a SACC rep.
What is your most memorable moment at Moravian? Winning back-to-back to back Makuvek Cups.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions? Watch Shrek 2 in the hotel room.
What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Surround yourself with people that want the best for you and don't be afraid to speak up.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? Have a short memory on the golf course.
Who are your role models/most influential people? My parents and my Uncle Kenny.
Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with? Phil Mickelson, Michael Jordan, Kody Kolnik.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. I am a Type 1 Diabetic.
