BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Athletics is hosting its second Athletics Giving Challenge that runs from January 21-31. The Greyhounds had 180 donors on the first day of the challenge raising more than $25,000.
The football team leads the list with 18 donors for more than $3,800 while both the field hockey and women's soccer squad each had 17 donors and both the men's basketball and track & field programs each had 15 donors on the opening day. Eight programs raised over $1,000 on the first day of the challenge, led by the softball team with just over $4,000 on day one. In addition to football, the men's basketball program also topped $3,500 on the first day while the women's basketball, golf, men's tennis, field hockey and track & field programs all surpassed $1,000.
The Athletic Giving Challenge campaign will help mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic providing resources to ensure Greyhound student-athlete success and well-being. For detailed information on how your donation will impact a program, check out your favorite team's social media account.
