BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athletes in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is women's lacrosse student-athlete Breanna Federico '21. Federico has played in 31 career matches for the Greyhounds with 19 starts, and she has contributed 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points.

How did you choose your sport? I started playing lacrosse in the sixth grade when my school stated its first program. Since I started playing, my dream was to compete at the collegiate level.
Why did you come to Moravian College? Coach Kristen Nicholson was my club lacrosse coach in high school, she introduced me to the great academic programs that Moravian has to offer. As soon as I visited the campus, I knew that Moravian College would be my home for the next four years
What is your major and how did you choose it? My major is Health Science with an Exercise Science track, I chose this major because I want to be a strength and conditioning coach at a college or university. I find the field to be very rewarding, as I enjoy helping others achieve their goals.
What are your future plans? After graduation I plan to attend Graduate school for my Masters in Exercise Science. I also plan on being a graduate assistant coach for lacrosse at the University I attend.
What is your favorite place on campus? John Makuvek Field is my favorite place on campus, because it is where I get to make lots of amazing memories with my teammates.
What activities/organizations at Moravian College have you been active in as a student-athlete? I have been in SAAC since freshman year. Currently I am the vice president of SAAC
You've been a member of SAAC. What made you choose to be part of SAAC and what has been your favorite part of working with SAAC? I chose to be a part of SAAC to represent my team and college. My favorite part is planning events for the student athletes. These events are meant to recognize the athletes for hard work both on and off the field.
What is your most memorable moment at Moravian? The most memorable moment I have was from freshman year when I met my teammates. The upperclassmen made me feel so accepted and welcome. As a senior I attempt to make everyone feel just as welcome.
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions? When I get to the locker room my teammates and I shut off all of the lights, blast music and dance till we go out onto the turf.
