BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is men's basketball student-athlete Greg Eck class of 2023. Eck has scored 221 points and added 72 rebounds, 20 assists and 13 steals in his career with the Greyhounds.

How did you choose your sport? When I was a little kid my father was a high school basketball coach and I feel in love with the sport right away since I was always around it growing up
Why did you come to Moravian College? I chose to come to Moravian after my first visit. Stepping foot on campus felt like home to me and I really liked the idea of attending a smaller school
What is your major and how did you choose it? I am an accounting major and I chose that career path because I really enjoyed my accounting courses in high school and some of my family members are currently accountants.
What are your future plans? I think many college athletes plan to continue playing their sports for as long as possible, but if that does not work out, I plan on getting my master's degree and sitting for my Certified Public Accountant exam.
What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus has to be Johnston Hall.
What is your most memorable moment at Moravian? Being a part of the 2018-2019 Landmark Conference Championship team my freshman year
Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions? I just try to the same pre-game routines before every game
What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Follow your dreams, don't let a small school scare you because going to a smaller school is probably the best route to go
What is the best piece advice you have been given? Work hard at everything you do in life and don't ever give up on what you want
Who are your role models/ most influential people? Both of my parents are my role models because of how hard they work to provide for my family. The most influential person in my life is probably my high school basketball coach Shawn Munford.
Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with? Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Jeff Bezos
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. I had two knee surgeries within 3 years and I was born with my birthmark on my head which causes a part of my hair to be grey
