How did you choose the sport you played when you were growing up? I grew up watching my brother and sister play lacrosse, so they encouraged me to start playing.

Why did you choose to come to Moravian College? Coach Nicholson was so welcoming when I first visited the campus, and I was thrilled to be a part of the first recruiting class when the team was reinstated. Coach assured me that Moravian offers the perfect balance between athletics, academics, and social life. Also, the nursing program is absolutely amazing, offering 1,000+ hours of clinical experience, the brand-new Sally building with the sim lab, and the best faculty.

What experiences as a student-athlete at Moravian helped prepare you for life after college? Being a student athlete taught me how to develop good time management, leadership, and accountability.

How did you get into your current occupation? I decided to become a nurse because my aunt is a nurse practitioner and I always admired her job. Also, my uncle had ALS and I wanted to be able care for critically sick patients and make a difference in their life.

As a nurse, how has your job changed since March with the pandemic? I never imagined I would start my career as a nurse in the ICU working in the epicenter of a global pandemic. We had an influx of patients from the city being transferred to our hospital and we were doing everything we possibly could to keep them alive. Since the hospital did not allow visitors, we used iPads to Facetime families and update them on the patient's condition; and we were the only people there to hold the patients hand and comfort them in their final moments. I am so thankful and proud of my coworkers for coming together and working through this together.

What was your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus was probably coaches' office; we used to spend so much time in there.

What activities/organizations were you involved in at Moravian College as a student-athlete? SAAC, Student Nurses Association, Emerging Leaders, Alpha Alpha Alpha Honor Society

What was your most memorable moment at Moravian? Graduation was my most memorable moment, it was so much fun to celebrate the best four years of my life with all of my friends and family.

What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Moravian is a great school, has a beautiful campus, offers so many opportunities, and has the perfect balance between academics and athletics.

What advice do you have for current student-athletes as they approach graduation? Take advantage of every opportunity presented to you.

What is the best piece of advice you've been given? Be better, have fun

Who are your role models/most influential people? My parents

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with? Kristen Nicholson, Allie Brembt, & Tyler Ornstein

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. Frosty the snowman is my cousin.
