How did you choose the sport you played when you were growing up? I played a ton of different sports growing up, but not field hockey. I didn't start playing until 9th grade and I hated it. I almost quit. But I had great coaches and a great role model in my brother who pushed me to continue playing. And the rest was history…

Why did you choose to come to Moravian College? I am legacy - both my brother and sister went to Moravian and were athletes. I loved Moravian and being part of the Hound family before I even stepped foot on campus. There was nowhere else I would have considered home.

What experiences as a student-athlete at Moravian helped prepare you for life after college? Even though some of the experiences of being a student athlete weren't the easiest of my life, they taught me a lot of life lessons. Most importantly would be that life will go on. No matter how bad your day is, the next day is an opportunity to make it a great day. Also, teamwork and leadership - you learn to adapt to people who are different than you and empathize with them as well. It doesn't happen overnight, and you learn humility quickly, but key is that you are learning and growing.

How did you get into your current occupation? It's been an interesting road to where I am now in my career - one riddled with a lot of networking, hard work and some luck! I didn't even know Healthcare Real Estate existed when I was in college, but it's been a very rewarding job contributing to the patient experience through real estate.

What was your favorite place on campus? Betty Prince Field

What activities/organizations were you involved in at Moravian College as a student-athlete? I was a member of SAAC and Alpha Sigma Tau.

What was your most memorable moment at Moravian? In 2004, we went 10-8, which has been to date the best record Moravian Field Hockey has had in quite some time. It was a great year of many successes, personally as a player and as a team! I enjoyed every second of playing with some amazing teammates! Also, Betty Prince flooded that year and we had to play at a high school field - which included taking the Moravian school bus as transportation. It was definitely a year for the books!

What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Show good character! Be humble and strive to be the best worker on your team, on the field and in the classroom. It will be the best years of your life, enjoy every second of it!  Once a Hound, always a Hound!

What advice do you have for current student-athletes as they approach graduation? Don't stress about the future - it will all work out. Continue to be the best version of yourself, work hard and everything will fall into place, eventually.

What is the best piece of advice you've been given? Who you are is so much greater than what you do.

Who are your role models/most influential people? I would say my role models have changed throughout my life - through growth and experiences. However, my siblings, my parents and my husband are constants in my life that I respect and appreciate for their guidance.

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with? Steve Jobs, Laura Bush, Vince Lombardi
