Top 10 Stories Of 2019-20 - #6 Track & Field Sweeps Landmark Conference Indoor Titles For 11th Time

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College is continuing its look back at its 2019-20 athletic campaign. The next entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 6 highlight – the men's and women's track & field teams sweeping the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships for the 11th time in the 13-year history of the conference.

The men's team won its 11th straight and 12th overall Landmark Conference Indoor Championships in the conference's 13-year history at the 2020 meet hosted by Susquehanna University. The meet came down to the final event for the men, the 4x400-meter relay, before the Hounds secured a 10-point victory over runner-up Elizabethtown College. The Greyhounds won five individual events and had one relay title as each of the student-athletes earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors for winning. The Blue and Grey also had three runner-up finishes that earned Landmark All-Conference Second Team accolades.

The women's squad earned its third consecutive and 12th overall Landmark Conference Indoor Championships with a 91-point victory over the host River Hawks. The Hounds recorded eight individual first place finishes and two relay titles on the track as all of the winning student-athletes earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors. The Greyhounds also set three meet records on the day. The Greyhounds also had six runner-up finishes to garner Landmark All-Conference Second Team accolades.
