How did you choose the sport you played when you were growing up? I played baseball and basketball growing up, but my grandfather and uncles introduced me to golf the summer before my 8th grade year. I fell in love with the game and played every day during the summers of my high school years. Since then, it has been a huge part of my life.

Why did you choose to come to Moravian College? I chose Moravian on the way home from my first visit to the campus. I immediately fell in love the small community feel and people and I wanted nothing more than to play golf for Coach Makuvek.

What experiences as a student-athlete at Moravian helped prepare you for life after college? School work and golf took up a lot of time which was hard, but it really prepared me for life after school and my time management skills. My professional life has been spent with jobs that require good time management skills and juggling schedules and no two days being alike. Golf was also a way to get away from day-to-day grind and allowed an escape for a few hours each day which everyone needs in life!

How did you get into your current occupation? Golf has always been a big part of my life through high school and college and I was lucky enough to find a job in the golf industry during my senior year at Moravian. I have worked in the industry ever since but my current position with First Tee is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for a great non-profit and work with youth by teaching values and life-skills through the game of golf.

What was your favorite place on campus? The HUB (off campus? Saucon Valley Country Club - Weyhill Course )

What activities/organizations were you involved in at Moravian College as a student-athlete? I was involved with student government, worked for the Sports Information Department, and participated in intramurals.

What was your most memorable moment at Moravian? Graduation Day! The culmination of four extraordinary years with experiences and friends to last a lifetime.

What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Moravian has so much to offer both academically and athletically from the Professors to the Coaches and from the classrooms and the playing fields. It's great to be a HOUND!

What advice do you have for current student-athletes as they approach graduation? As student athletes look toward graduation and finding or starting a job, they first need to cherish the time remaining at Moravian. I look back on my four years at Moravian many moons ago and I cherish those times especially my senior year and the wonderful friends and teammates that I'm still in touch with today.

What is the best piece of advice you've been given? "You decide what to change."

Who are your role models/most influential people? My parents have always been there, but my Uncle has been the most influential person in my life especially during my high school and college years.

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with? My grandfather, Payne Stewart, and President John F. Kennedy

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. I love to cook and garden!
